Structure Finance Portfolio Manager - Miami
Matrix Renewables is a global Independent Power Producer backed by TPG Rise, the world's largest private markets impact investing platform. From Spain to the U.S., from Italy to Chile, we develop, build, finance, and operate renewable energy projects.
Since 2020 we've grown into an international platform spanning solar PV, battery storage, and green hydrogen — with a portfolio of 15.7 GW across North America, Europe, and Latin America, and industry recognition from IJGlobal, Proximo, and the FT1000.
What makes us different? Our people — collaborative, entrepreneurial, and unafraid to challenge the status quo of an industry in the middle of its biggest transformation. And we back that up with one of the most competitive benefits packages in the market: 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision from day one (no waiting period, no deductibles for in-network care), a 401(k) with up to a 3.5% employer match, and 23 days of PTO plus 13 paid holidays a year.
If you want your work to matter — to power homes, protect the planet, and grow a career at the same time — this is where you build it.
The Role
We're looking for a Structured Finance Portfolio Manager to join our US Structured Finance team in Miami. This is a high-visibility role at the intersection of finance, risk, and renewable energy — you'll be the person who keeps our project finance and tax equity portfolio running smoothly, healthy, and ahead of risk.
You'll monitor and manage compliance across a portfolio of renewable energy project finance and tax equity transactions in the U.S., with exposure to corporate-level financings and international assets. You'll build real relationships with lenders, tax equity investors, and internal teams across finance, development, asset management, legal, ESG, and operations — and you'll report to the Project Finance Director (US) while working closely with our Loan Management team in Spain.
If you love the details of a credit agreement as much as the big picture of a growing portfolio, this role is for you.
Key Activities and Responsibilities:
Monitor compliance with loan agreements, credit facilities, hedge management, tax equity structures, and corporate financings.
Track and report key financial and operational covenants (DSCR, reserve requirements, distributions, ITC insurance etc.) and post-closing conditions.
Review financial models and forecasts to ensure compliance and identify early risk signals.
Provide early notice of any potential breach concerns by thoroughly reading, understanding and following the financial documentation. Manage notices and remediation plans of any issues that may occur.
Prepare and coordinate periodic reporting packages for lenders, tax equity investors, and internal stakeholders. Communicate changes in budget, schedule, updates and/or potential issues arising on the projects with appropriate urgency.
Manage loan disbursement requests and procedures.
Coordinate internally on CFADS and advise on timing of Opex payments to ensure debt service and tax equity payments can be achieved on time and per agreements.
Monitor debt balances, repayments, letters of credit (LCs), and credit facility utilization and hedge documentation.
Monitor tax equity distributions, capital accounts, and monetization of ITC and PTC proceeds under the LLCA, MIPA, ECCA and TCTAs, and associated covenants.
Oversee waiver, consent, amendment, and restructuring processes when required.
Manage and track post-closing and post-waiver conditions.
Maintain day-to-day working relationships with banks, agents, tax equity investors, hedge providers, ITC buyers, minority investors and external advisors (appraisal, legal, technical, insurance, market consultants).
Coordinate with internal teams (Finance, Asset Management, Development, Legal, ESG, Operations, and Accounting) and external auditors to ensure timely delivery of information and compliance obligations.
Support internal operational and financial reporting and maintenance of data for existing projects (e.g., financial performance, outstanding debt, compliance with covenants, assessment of forecasts, etc.).
Provide structured feedback to senior management and shareholders on portfolio quality, trends, limits, risks, and performance.
Manage risks associated with debt and tax equity investments. Anticipate if current documentation cannot serve future financing needs.
Support the Loan Origination and Structured Finance teams in the execution of new financings.
Assist in financial model reviews and updates.
Participate in the negotiation and documentation of financing agreements from a compliance and portfolio management perspective.
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in project finance, structured finance, portfolio management, or infrastructure investments.
Undergraduate degree, GPA will be requested
Strong exposure to renewable energy transactions (solar, BESS preferred).
Solid understanding of:
Project finance documentation

Strong analytical skills; financial modeling experience highly desirable.
