Structured Finance Loan Compliance Manager - Miami, FL or US Remote.
Matrix Renewables is a global Independent Power Producer backed by TPG Rise, the world's largest private markets impact investing platform. From Spain to the U.S., from Italy to Chile, we develop, build, finance, and operate renewable energy projects.
Since 2020 we've grown into an international platform spanning solar PV, battery storage, and green hydrogen — with a portfolio of 15.7 GW across North America, Europe, and Latin America, and industry recognition from IJGlobal, Proximo, and the FT1000.
What makes us different? Our people — collaborative, entrepreneurial, and unafraid to challenge the status quo of an industry in the middle of its biggest transformation. And we back that up with one of the most competitive benefits packages in the market: 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision from day one (no waiting period, no deductibles for in-network care), a 401(k) with up to a 3.5% employer match, and 23 days of PTO plus 13 paid holidays a year.
If you want your work to matter — to power homes, protect the planet, and grow a career at the same time — this is where you build it.
The Role
We're looking for a Structured Finance Loan Compliance Manager to join our US Structured Finance team in Miami.
This role will be responsible for the ongoing monitoring and compliance management of a portfolio of renewable energy project finance and tax equity transactions in the United States, with exposure to corporate-level financings and international assets.
You will play a key role in safeguarding the financial integrity of our portfolio by ensuring full compliance with financing agreements, managing lender, tax equity stakeholder and investor relationships, and coordinating internal stakeholders across finance, development, asset management, legal, ESG, and operations.
This is a highly visible role within the finance organization, reporting to the Project Finance Director (US) and working in close coordination with the Loan Management function in Spain. While this role supports the ongoing monitoring, ultimate responsibility resides with the Structured Finance team in Miami.
If you love the details of a credit agreement as much as the big picture of a growing portfolio, this role is for you.
Key Activities and Responsibilities:
Monitor covenant compliance across loan agreements, credit facilities, hedge arrangements, tax equity structures, and corporate financings.
Track and report key financial and operational covenants (DSCR, reserve requirements, distributions, ITC insurance etc.) and post-closing conditions.
Prepare and coordinate periodic reporting packages for lenders, tax equity investors, and internal stakeholders.
Manage loan disbursement requests and procedures.
Monitor debt balances, repayments, letters of credit (LCs), and credit facility utilization and hedge documentation.
Monitor tax equity distributions, capital accounts, and monetization of ITC and PTC proceeds under the LLCA, MIPA, ECCA and TCTAs, and associated covenants.
Manage and track post-closing and post-waiver conditions.
Coordinate with internal teams (Finance, Asset Management, Development, Legal, ESG, Operations, and Accounting) and external auditors to ensure timely delivery of information and compliance obligations.
Support internal operational and financial reporting and maintenance of data for existing projects (e.g., financial performance, outstanding debt, compliance with covenants, assessment of forecasts, etc.).
Support the Loan Origination and Structured Finance teams in the execution of new financings.
Assist in financial model reviews and updates.
Prepare and deliver reporting, the majority of which will be internal, reporting to headquarters in Spain and to TPG.
Participate in the negotiation and documentation of financing agreements from a compliance and portfolio management perspective.
Work in close coordination with the Loan Management team in Spain, whose involvement is a necessary part of the role, including receiving coordination and direction from Spain on the corporate facilities.
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in project finance, structured finance, portfolio management, or infrastructure investments.
Strong exposure to renewable energy transactions (solar, BESS, wind preferred).
Solid understanding of: Project finance documentation, covenant monitoring, tax equity structures and corporate debt instruments.
Strong analytical skills; financial modeling experience highly desirable.
Experience managing lender and investor relationships.
Ability to identify risk early and escalate appropriately.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Proactive, hands-on, and commercially minded.
Strong communication skills with ability to interact confidently with senior stakeholders.
Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, international environment.
Fluent in English; Spanish a plus.
High integrity and risk awareness mindset.
